Q: What format of Micro SD card does my Anlapus wireless IPC support?

 

A: Our wireless IPC cameras only support the FAT32 file system for Micro SD cards. Other formats such as NTFS, exFAT, or EXT4 are not compatible and will not be recognized by the device.

 

Q: Can I use a 256GB Micro SD card with my camera?

 

A: Yes, 256GB Micro SD cards are fully supported, provided they are formatted to the FAT32 file system. The camera will recognize and use the full capacity as long as the format is correct.

 

Q: Why is FAT32 the only supported format?

 

A: FAT32 is supported because our camera’s recording logic splits continuous video into individual files. As long as the size of each recorded file does not exceed 4GB (the maximum file size limit of the FAT32 standard), the system can reliably store and manage the footage. This ensures stable operation and compatibility across different card capacities.

 

Q: How do I format my SD card to FAT32?

 

A:

 

1. Insert the Micro SD card into a card reader and connect it to your computer.
2. On Windows: Right-click the drive → Select Format → Choose FAT32 as the file system → Click Start.
3. On Mac: Open Disk Utility → Select the SD card → Click Erase → Set the format to MS-DOS (FAT) (which is FAT32) → Confirm.

 

Note: Formatting will erase all data on the card. Please back up any important files before proceeding.
