1. APP Installation
1.1 System Requirements
- iOS: Compatible with iOS 12.0 or later (supports iPhone, iPad)
- Android: Compatible with Android 8.0 or later
1.2 Download and Installation
- iOS users: Open the App Store, search for "Vsees", and tap "Get" to download and install.
- Android users: Open the Google Play Store, search for "Vsees", and tap "Install" to complete the process.
- Alternatively, scan the QR code provided on the product package or official website to download the APP directly.
2. Account Registration & Login
2.1 Account Registration
- Open the Vsees APP after installation.
- Tap "Register" on the login page.
- Enter your valid email address or phone number.
- Set a password (8-20 characters, including letters and numbers for security).
- Verify your identity via the verification code sent to your email or phone.
- Complete the registration by following the on-screen prompts.
2.2 Login
- Open the Vsees APP.
- Enter your registered email/phone number and password.
- Tap "Login" to access your account.
- Optional: Enable "Auto Login" for convenient future access (not recommended for public devices).
2.3 Password Recovery
- On the login page, tap "Forgot Password".
- Enter your registered email or phone number.
- Receive and enter the verification code.
- Set a new password and confirm it.
3. Device Connection
3.1 Preparation
- Ensure your video recorder is powered on and connected to a stable network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
- Confirm your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the video recorder (for initial pairing).
- Have the video recorder's device ID, username, and password ready (found on the product label or provided in the product package).
3.2 Adding a Device
Method 1: QR Code Scanning (Recommended)
- Log in to the Vsees APP and tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner of the home page.
Select "Add Device" > "Scan QR Code".
5 Use the APP's scanner to scan the QR code on the video recorder or its package.
6 And choose the correct type,tap "Next
7 Confirm the device information and tap "Add" to complete the connection.
Method 2: Manual Addition
- Tap the "+" icon on the APP's home page and select "Add Device" > "Manual Input".
- Enter the video recorder's device ID.
- Input the device's username and password (default username/password: admin/admin unless modified).
- Tap "Connect" to pair the device with the APP.
3.3 Device Management
- Rename Device: Tap the device name on the home page, select "Rename", and enter a custom name for easy identification.
- Modify Device Password: Go to "Device Settings" > "Change Password" to update the device's access password.
- Remove Device: Long-press the device icon on the home page and select "Remove Device" (note: this action will disconnect the device permanently; reconnection requires re-adding).
4. Core Functions Operation
4.1 Live View
- On the APP's home page, tap the device icon to enter the live view interface.
- View Control:
- Swipe up/down/left/right to switch between multiple camera channels (if the recorder is connected to multiple cameras).
- Pinch the screen to zoom in/out for details.
- Tap the "Full Screen" icon in the lower right corner to switch to landscape full-screen viewing.
- PTZ Control (for PTZ cameras): Use the on-screen direction pad to adjust the camera's pan, tilt, and zoom functions.
- Audio Control: Tap the "Microphone" icon to enable two-way audio communication; tap the "Speaker" icon to adjust the volume.
Screenshot/Recording:
- Tap the "Screenshot" icon to capture the current live image (saved to your mobile device's photo album).
- Tap the "Record" icon to start/stop recording the live stream (saved locally on the mobile device or the recorder).
4.2 Playback
- On the device's live view page, tap "Playback" to enter the playback interface.
- Select the target camera channel and the date you want to view (recorded files will be displayed as timeline segments).
- Tap the timeline or select a specific time period to start playback.
- Playback Controls:
- Use the "Play/Pause", "Fast Forward", "Fast Rewind" buttons to control the playback speed (supports 0.5x-4x speed adjustment).
- Tap "Screenshot" or "Record" to save key frames or clips during playback.
- Drag the progress bar to jump to a specific time point.
4.3 Recording Settings
4.3.1 Recording Mode
- Go to "Device Settings" > "Recording Settings".
Select the recording mode:
- Continuous Recording: The recorder records 24/7 non-stop.
- Motion Detection Recording: The recorder starts recording only when motion is detected (saves storage space).
- Schedule Recording: Set specific time periods for automatic recording (customize daily/weekly schedules).
- Tap "Save" to apply the settings.
4.3.2 Motion Detection Settings
- In "Recording Settings", enable "Motion Detection".
- Adjust the detection sensitivity (Low/Medium/High) according to your needs.
- Set the detection area: Tap "Detection Area" and select the specific region you want to monitor (supports full-screen or partial-area detection).
- Enable "Alarm Linkage" if needed (e.g., trigger the recorder's alarm output when motion is detected).
4.4 Alarm Settings
- Go to "Device Settings" > "Alarm Settings".
- Enable/disable alarm types: Motion Detection Alarm, Video Loss Alarm, Hard Disk Error Alarm, etc.
Set alarm notifications:
- Enable "Push Notification" to receive real-time alerts on your mobile device.
- Set "Alarm Sound" and "Alarm Duration" (for the recorder's local alarm).
- Optional: Enable "Email Alert" to receive alarm notifications via email (enter your email address and configure the SMTP server).
4.5 Storage Management
4.5.1 Storage Status Check
- Go to "Device Settings" > "Storage Management".
- View the total storage capacity, used space, and remaining space of the recorder's hard disk.
- Check the recording file list and manage files (delete old/unneeded recordings to free up space).
4.5.2 Storage Mode
- Local Storage: Recordings are saved to the video recorder's built-in hard disk (supports HDD up to 6TB; formatted as NTFS).
- Cloud Storage (optional): Enable cloud storage to back up recordings (requires subscription to the cloud service; supports 7-day/30-day/90-day retention periods).
5. Advanced Settings
5.1 Network Settings
- Go to "Device Settings" > "Network Settings".
- Wi-Fi Settings: If the recorder is connected via Wi-Fi, you can switch to another Wi-Fi network, modify the Wi-Fi password, or check the signal strength.
- Ethernet Settings: For wired connections, configure the IP address (DHCP/Static IP), subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server.
- Port Settings: Modify the HTTP port and RTSP port if needed (ensure port forwarding is set up on your router for remote access outside the local network).
5.2 Image Settings
- Go to "Device Settings" > "Image Settings".
- Adjust image parameters for each camera: Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Sharpness, and White Balance.
- Enable "Night Vision" (for cameras with IR function) and adjust the IR light intensity.
- Set the image resolution (e.g., 1080P, 4K) and frame rate (15fps/30fps) according to your network and storage capacity.
5.3 User Management
- Go to "APP Settings" > "User Management".
- Add Sub-Users: Tap "Add Sub-User", enter the sub-user's email/phone number, and assign device access permissions (view-only, playback, settings modification).
- Modify User Information: Edit your nickname, profile picture, and contact information.
- Change Login Password: Update your APP account password regularly for security.
6. Troubleshooting

7. Notes & Safety Warnings
- Keep your APP and video recorder firmware updated to the latest version for improved performance and security.
- Change the default password immediately after the first login to prevent unauthorized access.
- Do not share your account password or device verification code with others.
- Ensure the video recorder is installed in a well-ventilated area to avoid overheating.
- Back up important recording files regularly (local or cloud backup) to prevent data loss due to hard disk failure.
- Comply with local laws and regulations when using the video recorder; do not use it for illegal surveillance.
